Sumter man dead, girlfriend injured
A man was shot dead and a woman is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head after a shooting Monday night in Sumter County.
The incident took place around 7:45 p.m. on Dubose Siding road.
Anthony Nocerino, 58, of Dubose Siding Road, died at the scene, county coroner Harvin Bullock said. Bullock, who was called to the scene Monday night, was waiting on an autopsy report this morning for a final determination of the cause of death.
The woman is being treated at Palmetto Health Richland.
