CAPTURED: Tracy Cobb

Tracy Cobb was taken into custody along state Highway 5 between York and Cherokee counties. Cobb now faces a charge of felony escape, punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

An inmate who escaped from a Sumter County prison was spotted Saturday night near Spears Creek Church Road and Jacobs Mill Pond Road, Richland County sheriff's spokeswoman Monique Mack said.
Fugitive investigators were searching the woods about 6:45 p.m. for 38-year-old Tracy Cobb, who walked away from his farm job at Wateree River Correctional Institution in Rembert on Wednesday.
Cobb is white, 5 feet, 8 inches, 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
He has the name "Christie" tattooed on his neck.
The minimum security inmate had been serving a three-year sentence since November for manufacturing methamphetamine and distributing methamphetamine from Cherokee County.
